(Music, Lyrics, Orchestrations, Book) A SUMMER IN MADTOWN is a contemporary pop/rock song cycle that follows various college students during their summer breaks. Whether they’re struggling with relationship issues, career doubts, or feeling suddenly out of place in their hometowns, these characters want to escape the limbo between childhood and adulthood. Featuring songs such as What It Takes, Once We’re Ready, and I Think I Peaked In High School, the show reminds us to be wary of “Madtown” — the intersection between dwelling on the past and worrying about the future — and instead try to simply live in the moment. Performance clips from the show's 2024 live concert debut are on YouTube, and sheet music selections are now available to purchase.
